This 50 year warranty only applies to the original buyer and installation site. It states that this product is free from manufacturing defects such as, but not limited to, milling, assembly, and lamination, if installed correctly and maintained properly in your home. The flooring must be installed indoors and only in residential areas. This warranty does not cover the following: variations in grain pattern, color, and/or texture, natural color changes, indentations, scratches, or damages caused by negligence, exposure to extreme heat, dryness or water saturations, accidents, abuse, misuse, indentations from heels or pet nails, stains of any kind, failure to follow all the manufacturer's instructions, insufficient protection, improper alterations of the original product, or causes as a result of normal wear and tear. If your claim is accepted, this warranty will cover the repair or replacement of the defective flooring and not the labor costs. The defective flooring will be repaired or replaced with the same product, if available, or replaced with another product of similar and equal value.
